Kay was born and raised near Glouster, Ohio, and has lived in Athens County all of her life with her family and, now, her grandchildren. She graduated from Glouster High School in 1978, studied food service at Tri-County Joint Vocational School, and worked as a cashier and stockperson at Odd Lots. Kay had some experience with photography, and, at the recommendation of her counselor, joined the Athens Photographic Project in the fall of 2013. She loves all of her classmates and can’t wait until classes resume next fall. Art provides an opportunity for Kay to express herself and share with others how the world looks and feels to her.
