what we doHow We StartedOur ImpactOur StudiO
More than 200 community members have participated in our photography groups since 2000, and we have reached thousands of audience members through more than 30 gallery and public art exhibitions.
Our groups have completed 30-week introductory, intermediate, and advanced level class curricula. Our curricula has included introduction to self-expression, black and white darkroom photography, manual camera operation, portfolio series development, commissioned projects for public and private venues, and many more.
Our work as part of the regional behavioral health service network has led to measuring the impact our groups have on supporting mental health outcomes. Our groups have been integrated within residential and outpatient treatment plans, which have further deepened our understanding of how photography strengthens wellbeing when made accessible at a time when a persons needs it most.
